Subject Snapshot
During MP3, students will focus on the skills of
Elaboration and Intellectual Risk Taking.
Math – Students will be continuing to multiply fractions and
will be learning how to divide fractions by the end of
marking period 3.
Writing – Students will research a particular genre of
fiction by reading many books in that genre. They will then
use their knowledge to write a story of their own.
Reading –Students will continue reading realistic fiction,
then transition to reading informational texts. While we
read we will be reviewing main idea and key details,
comparing settings, and integrating information from
multiple texts.
Science – Students will be studying space to learn about
planets, stars, and moons in our universe.
Social Studies – Students will continue to study Geographic
changes as the United States expanded.
