Dear 3rd Grade Parents,
We’re starting the second marking period on November 3!! Boy,
how the time flies! We hope you all are enjoying the falling
leaves and the start of the Holiday seasons.

Report cards are being sent home on November 12 th.
Please make sure you are checking communication folders several
times a week and Thursday folders every Thursday. It would be
very helpful if you could make sure to return Thursday folders the
next day.
The Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser items will be delivered this
month! THANK YOU SO MUCH for selling

Important Dates and Reminders
In the classroom…
Reading: Students will be reading literary text:
poetry. They will ask & answer questions. They will
analyze literal & nonliteral word meanings, poetry

Writing: Students will write narrative poetry using
voice, descriptions of actions & events, and temporal
words. They will also begin to brainstorm ideas for
their Informative inquiry project for quarter 2 on
technology.

Math: Students will continue working on concepts
related to multiplication.

Students will work on how multiplication and division
facts are related. They will also use multiplication &
division models to gain fluency (within 100).
