Classroom Job Descriptions

“Putting our Class to Work!”
Mr. Ghaman’s Weekly Classroom Jobs
 Line Leader: First in line; models appropriate behavior while walking in the
hallway and transitioning between classes.
 Line Ender: Last in line; keeps the line moving through the hallway in
proper formation and (if appropriate) turns off the class lights when exiting.
 Trash and Recyclers: (2 people) Makes sure everyone recycles paper trash
& empties it at the end of the day.
 Housekeepers: (2 people) Housekeeping team makes sure the room is neat
at the end of the day, with all large scraps and materials put away.
 Resource Keeprer: (1 person) Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and
refilling the supply bins on the resource table.
 Board Cleaner: (1 person) Cleans the front whiteboards at the end of each
day and changes the daily schedule if necessary.
 Time Bank Keeper: (1 person): Adds up any time earned or lost within the
day and updates the class running total.
 Lunch Baskets: (4 people) Make sure that everyone is checked on the lunch
count each morning, and carry lunch baskets from the cafeteria after lunch.
 Computer Engineer: (1 person) Ensure all Chromebooks are returned and
plugged in at the charging station.
 Librarian: (1 person) Keeps classroom library looking nice, neat, and
organized and takes down class book exchange items to the Media Center,
first thing Tuesday morning.
 File Manager: Responsible for moving and managing classroom extra
copies and handouts. Moves “Today’s Extras” from the first drawer into
the appropriate Day of the Week folder in the second drawer and recycles
whatever papers are remaining in that Day of the Week folder from the
past 7 days.
 *MVP*: The most valuable player is the teacher selected student who has
exuded excellence in all areas of FLARE (Fun, Leadership, Academics,
Respect, and Encouragement) and consistently displays a positive attitude
and good behavior. The MVP delivers attendance, checks the mailbox,
rotates weekly job assignments, and helps Mr. G as necessary.
