Announcement and Call for Submissions
The Transportation Network Modeling Committee (ADB30), the Traffic Flow
Theory Committee (AHB45), the Transportation Demand Forecasting Committee
(ADB40), the Traveler Behavior and Values Committee (ADB10), and the
Telecommunications and Travel Behavior Committee (ADB20) of the
Transportation Research Board are co-sponsoring a half-day seminar consisting of
reports of Ph.D. student research on transportation modeling and travel behavior.
The seminar is to be held on Sunday afternoon at the 89th Annual Meeting of the
Transportation Research Board in Washington, DC. Reports of recently completed
(or nearly completed) Ph.D. dissertations and research-in-progress are welcome.
Individuals who wish to present their research should submit a 500-1000
word summary of their research including the title and complete author
information, along with a letter of nomination from their faculty supervisor that
clearly states their anticipated graduation date. Please send these documents
to Ram M. Pendyala, Arizona State University, at [email protected].
The deadline for submission of entries is September 22, 2009. Those who have
presented their dissertation research at this session in previous Annual Meetings
of the Transportation Research Board are not eligible to submit entries.
The selection of presentations for inclusion in the program will be based on
the number of submissions and whether the work is based on completed or inprogress research. All students will be notified by October 15, 2009, regarding
acceptance of their submission and their place on the program. All submissions
will be reviewed by a panel and the selected presentations will be listed by title
and author in the Annual Meeting Program. Among the presentations made at the
session, the best presentation will be identified and recognized with a certificate
presented at the meeting of the Committee on Transportation Network Modeling
(ADB30).
