One More Story What is it? One More Story is a website that provides fully illustrated digital versions of many favorite picture books. Features of books include: Narration and text highlighting of complete text of stories Choose “read aloud” or allow students to read independently Read any text in independent mode by clicking on it All students have access, regardless of IEP or print disability How to get started with it 1. Find the icon for One More Story in your Media Centers/Online Resources folder on your school network 2. Select a bookshelf (red, blue, green or orange). 3. Preview a book title and author by clicking on the picture of the book. 4. Select a book to read by clicking on the green button below the book. 5. Choose the I in the top corner of the screen to allow students to read independently, with 1 click access of text to speech for any unknown word or click on the green arrow to have the book narrated. Used in conjunction with 21st Century technologies, including Promethean boards, that are becoming more widely available in MCPS elementary schools, One More Story can be a powerful teaching and learning tool.
