Students will receive academic and personal advising regarding time
management and study skills issues. The Center coordinates the
delivery of services, including academic accommodations and auxiliary
services, for students who have specific disabilities.
The office also provides tutoring in almost all academic subjects. All
tutors are Denison students selected by faculty and tutoring is free of
charge so please, take advantage.

The Campus Leadership & Involvement Center exists to foster and
support student opportunities for learning, leadership, communitybuilding, and creative expression beyond the classroom. There are
more than 160 organizations on campus that are a vital part of the
Denison University Community. The Campus Leadership & Involvement
Center team recognizes the importance of co-curricular activities as a
key part of the college experience. Active participation in organizations
provides opportunities for the development of leadership skills, social
interaction and the opportunity to demonstrate creativity and
responsibility, all while having some fun.

This office can help with a student’s career planning, career decisionmaking, job & externship/internship searching, or preparing for
graduate school. Assistance with resume and cover letter writing as
well as mock interviews are also held in Career Exploration &

The Alford Center facilitates opportunities for Denisonians to engage
meaningfully in community service and service learning. Through such
engagement, we foster the capacity of individuals to understand the
origins of problems that face our communities and how education,

The Writing Center provides individual tutoring for students working on
any stage of the writing process for any of their courses. There are
walk-in appointments, and appointments can be scheduled for more

The Gilpatrick Center is the hub for programs that promote excellence
in student research, cultivate the pursuit of post-graduate scholarships
and fellowships, and train students in the best ways to apply for and
acquire those awards. The Center provides support to students seeking
summer research opportunities; and coordinates all the summer student
research programs (e.g., Young Scholars, Anderson Research Assistants,
Woodyard Scholars)

This office administers course registration; processes schedule
adjustments, and issues transcripts upon request. Students work with
the Registrar on curricular modifications, academic petitions, and
approval of transfer credit. The office maintains the academic integrity
of the Denison degree.
