The Eagle’s Eye Rock Creek Valley Elementary School 5121 Russett Road, Rockville, MD 20853 (301) 460-2195 Fax (301) 460-2196 May 1, 2015 Catherine Jasperse, Principal Julia Bialeski, Assistant Principal Principal’s Message I am sure many of you are familiar with the story, Caps for Sale. In this story, a peddler is carrying a tall pile of caps on his head that get taken away and he has a hard time in getting them back. Every year at this time, I feel as if I am the peddler, with one slight twist. I have actually collected a large pile of caps, and coats, and sweaters, and scarves from a long season of winter – and I, unlike the peddler, want to get rid of these and not keep them stacked up here at school. These are all items that have been left by students at recess when they are warm and shedding layers of clothing. Now they are part of a large lost and found collection that needs to be returned to students. If you know that your child has left something here at school during the year, please remind them to check the lost and found that is located just outside of our all-purpose room. Also, if you are here at school, please take an opportunity to also check. Our goal is to reunite every student with their lost item of clothing before the final day of school. Summer School We are gearing up for another exciting summer of Rock Creek Valley Summer School! Our four-week program is designed to enrich students' reading and writing skills while having fun!
