Meeting Summary Updates
As a way to keep interested stakeholders informed of the ongoing work to revise the Montgomery
County Public Schools strategic plan, a summary of each of the Strategic Planning Network Team
work sessions will be created and available in a variety of venues.
Strategic Planning Network Team Work Session # 3
March 7, 2013
At the third meeting of the Strategic Planning Network Team, the teams reviewed the results of the First
Thoughts activity on proposed skills and knowledge in the three competency areas—Academic
Excellence, Creative Problem Solving, and Social Emotional Learning—generated at the March 5, 2013,
Community Meeting on the Strategic Plan. Team members were asked to determine if there were any
new ideas that needed to be incorporated into the list generated at the last meeting, as they continued
to work to clarify, prioritize, and narrow the skills and knowledge statements for each of the three
competencies.
