A New High-Resolution Imaging View of Exoplanet Host Stars
Abstract:
BasedonourpasttwoyearsofspeckleimagingatGemini‐Nandourpast5yearsof
related observations at other observatories, this talk will summarize what we have
learned about exoplanet host stars in terms of the binary fraction of exoplanet host
stars,andhowwecanobservationallyvalidateEarth‐sizeexoplanets.Finally,a
summaryofthesenewresultsandtheirimpactonourunderstandingofexoplanets,in
particulartheirradiusandtheirlocationinthehabitablezone,willbediscussed.
