The nineteenth meeting of tlie Senate was held on Wednesday, 09n June 2010 at 4:00 P.M. in
the New Senate Room of the Institute. The meeting was attended by the members, whose list
is available onpage no. 6.

Regarding item no. l8-3.2,the recommendations of the committee were
discussed. The Senate observed that existing provisions in the ordinances
and regulations were sufficient eaough and appropriate; hence, there is no
need to make any alteration

Item No 19-3.2 To ratify the procedure of admission to Ph.D. program
(a) The mandatory written-test for admission to Ph.D. programme has
been implemented and this was ratified by Senate. (b) However, the
internal faculty members, who possess experience of 5 years or more
and want to apply for,Ph.D. programme are exempted from the rwitten
test.
