The siiteenth meeting of the Senate was held on Wednesday,24't'June 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the
Senate Room of th'e lnstitute. The meeting was attended by the rnembers, whose list is available on

Scheines and syllabi were approved. Following decisions were also taken;
(a)
Regarding relative weightage distribution among various components of
evaluation viz. end-term-examination, mid-tenrr exam., class-work-assessment
and practical/sessional as-sessment, it was decided that the scheme oldistribution
shoutd have at least ZAYo weightage fbr 'practical' compotrent (PRB) and the
weightag.e of two mid-term together and end-term examination should bo equal.
This
distribution would be followed by the departrnents for incorporating into all
the.
B.
Tech.'schemes. Weightage for class work (CWS) to be absorbed in the
.
mid term and end term exarninations
(b) End-+erm examination will normally be of 2 hours duration. However, facutty
teaching the course may opt for more than 2 hours duration, with prior
information to.Head of the Department and Dean Academic Affairs.
(c) Head of Architecture was. requested to provide more inputs regarding the
distribution of relative weightage of various components of evaluation for
B.iArph. programme. The following committee was constituted to look into the
relative distribution of evaluation cemponents. The committee was reguested to
submit the report before the start of next session, i.e. 20'h July 20A9.
