Introduction to Linear Programming Problem: Statement of Linear Programming
Problem, Transportation problem, Assignment Problem.
Dynamic Programming: Introduction, Solution of Linear Programming Problem using
Dynamic Programming.
Non-linear programming
Unconstrained optimization via iterative methods: Direct search methods (Univariate
method), Gradient methods (steepest descent (Cauchy’s) method).
Constrained optimization: Lagrange multipliers, Kuhn Tucker conditions.
Quadratic programming: Wolfe’s and Beale’s method.
Network Analysis: Project planning and control with PERT-CPM
