MINNESOTA RURAL HEALTH CONFERENCE
GROWING HEALTHY RURAL COMMUNITIES
Dear Rural Health Colleagues,
This year's Minnesota Rural Health Conference unites all of us who care
about rural health. We're excited to offer three concurrent forums that we
hope will provide something for everyone.
On Monday June 18, the Center for Rural Policy and Development will host
its annual Minnesota Rural Forum. This year's Forum will discuss and
debate topics covered in the Spring 2007 Rural Minnesota Journal focused
on rural health care.
Concurrent with the Minnesota Rural Forum on June 18, hospital
administrators and hospital representatives from the 79 Critical Access
Hospitals in Minnesota will gather for a Critical Access Hospital Conference
to share common experiences and issues.
Later that evening, a reception overlooking the Duluth Harbor will bring
everyone together before the start of the Minnesota Rural Health
Conference on Tuesday, June 19. The Conference promises a full day of
keynotes and breakout sessions examining how rural communities are
maintaining and improving the quality and availability of health care.
We think joining forces will increase our knowledge of rural health issues,
strengthen collaboration among new partners, and generate fresh energy to
identify strategies for keeping rural health in Minnesota strong and vital.
Please join us in Duluth – your participation will ensure that these joint
events provide a valuable forum for learning and collaborating. We look
forward to seeing you there.
