How to Save a Report to Your Desktop Report Destination You can save your report results as an Excel file. To do this, you should create a REPORTS folder to place your report files into. STEP 1: Click the Create Spreadsheet to export the report results to Excel. STEP 2: The Save Spreadsheet As window will open. The default type (2) is Microsoft Excel Workbook (*.xls). STEP 4: Click the Desktop icon (4) on the left margin. 5 Report Name STEP 5: Create a REPORTS folder on your desktop by clocking the New Folder icon (5). MN Department of Health September 2011 page 2 of 3 STEP 6: A new untitled folder icon will display on your desktop. STEP 7: Type REPORTS. STEP 8: Double click the new REPORTS icon. 9 STEP 9: Click the Save button (8) to save the report into the REPORTS folder. In the future, you can access your reports by going to your desktop and double-clicking the REPORTS icon. Please note that the REPORTS folder is saved to the currently logged in user’s desktop and will not be visible when another user is logged into the same computer.
