Benefits Report HuBERT Report Name: Fruit and Vegetable Benefit Redemption Activity Summary Report Topics: Benefits Frequency: Monthly Access/Where to find: AgencyEOM FTP site: Minnesota Reports folder (available after September 2012 End-of-Month (EOM)) StateEOM FTP site: Minnesota Reports folder Description: This report contains fruit and vegetable (F/V) benefit issuance and redemption information by women, infants, and children for the state and each local agency. The summary is available on the FTP site approximately one week after EOM is run. The data reflects issuance and redemption for the close-out month. The summary is available as an Excel document with the state data on one tab and the local agency breakdown on a second tab. Criteria and Filters: • Benefits are counted if the participation date is the month and year summarized. • Voided benefits are not counted. • Benefits marked lost/stolen and redeemed are counted. • Benefits are counted based on the number of benefits issued (not the number of participants). • The designation of Infant or Child is based on the type of F/V benefit issued, not the participant’s WIC category at the time of issuance. (Ex. if an infant is issued a child food package, the F/V benefit is counted in the child totals) • Benefits are counted at the local agency where they were issued. Some possible purposes for this report: • To analyze overall redemption of F/V benefits and usage trends • To review redemption of F/V Cash-Value Benefits (CVB) benefits issued to women and children versus F/V benefits issued to infants • To compare redemption during different time periods (e.g. when Farmer’s Markets are open) MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, WIC PROGRAM 1 OCTOBER, 2012 State Summary (Excel Spreadsheet Tab 1) Local Agency Breakdown (Excel Spreadsheet Tab 2) MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, WIC PROGRAM 2 OCTOBER, 2012
