Preparation of Materials
Remove trash, extra chairs and trash cans. Check tools and chemicals. Fill fresh
water tank with cold water. Unwrap enough electric cord to reach the outlet.
Place machine in entryway. Post appropriate signage. Put on appropriate PPE
including a dust mask. Start at the wall that is farthest from the machine.
Process
1) Attach blow hose to output, put nozzle on end of hose and blow off vent
pipes, light fixtures, overhead pipes, tops of dryers, and behind machines.
2) Sweep the floor.
NOTE: Do not use Kaivac on wood surfaces, drywall, wallpaper, laminate
counter tops or near electrical outlets.
3) Turn chemical valve on and turn on pump.
4) Pull out the gun’s spray nozzle and rotate right for pinpoint spray (low
pressure).
5) Spray 10-15 seconds for chemical to get through hose.
6) Then rotate left for fan spray and begin.
7) Spray sink and floors. Do not spray the dryers. Only spray inside washers and
away from control panels.
8) Manually brush the floor if laundry detergent has been ground into the floor.

9) Turn the chemicals off and clear them from the hose onto the floor (approx.
10-15 seconds)
NOTE: Always purge chemicals in low-pressure mode!
10) Use pinpoint spray and rinse top-down.
NOTE: Spray behind washers. Do not spray dryers or behind dryers. If
spraying tops of washers only spray away from the display and controls.
Spray inside rubber door seals after you are sure there is not laundry
inside.
11) Loop the Spray Line. Wipe dry with a towel while looping and rinse and dry
pressure gun.
12) For vacuum extraction, turn on vac motor and start closest to machine to
keep hose dry.
13) Run parallel to walls and hold at a 45 degree angle.
14) Leave vacuum on while wrapping up the hose and put the nozzle on end of
the hose.
15) Use blue microfiber cloth to wipe down washers and dryers.
Cleanup
Dump dirty water into a floor sink or floor drain. Spray the inside of the vacuum
tank to remove any soil. Empty remaining water from the tank.
Safety & PPE Recommendations
Recommended PPE includes hand and eye protection as well as a dust mask.
Performance Standards
All surfaces should be free from lint and dust. Floors, machines and surfaces
should be free of laundry detergent
