Procedure
1) Inform Campus Safety that you will be in the pool area cleaning and ask
them to monitor you if you will be cleaning on your own.
2) Clean the pool deck using the Kaivac.
3) Use Boost to clean the pool deck every month.
4) Rust stains should be treated with restroom cleaner and a scrub brush.
5) The stainless steel areas are hosed down by the lifeguard staff using
clean water.
6) Dry stainless steel areas and use stainless steel wipes to protect surfaces.
7) Scrub the bulkhead with a scrub brush and pool water. The bulkhead can
be cleaned using the kaivac. Use only clean water.
8) Diveboards, steps and platforms are cleaned using the Kaivac.
Safety & PPE Recommendations
PPE recommended includes hand and eye protection. A life jacket should be worn.
Performance Standards
All surfaces should be clean and free from dirt and other debris.
