DV Configuration Reference Procedure This procedure should be run to synchronize software and hardware configuration of the DeltaVision Core or PD systems. 1. To start dvconfig.exe log into IC/MIC using remote desktop (double click “Instrument Controller” icon on Linux desktop, user name worx, password 4delta). 2. Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to C:\ic540_dv\bin 3. Double click icon dvconfig.exe (ref. picture below). 4. Type y when prompt. 5. Select 3 to Restore Factory Settings 6. Type 102 or hit Enter to confirm current selection showing in the brackets 7. Select port 1 for serial communication 8. Select Microscope type matching your system 9. Type 14003 for EP selection 10. Choose number of extra EP Filter Sets (standard system comes with no extra) 11. Select 3 for Fast Speed 12. Type 1 to confirm DeltaVision Controller option 13. Type 2 to select number of cameras attached to the system even there is only one camera installed 14. Select Camera type (reference label on the camera head), type 0 for camera 2 on single camera system. 105. Photometrics “Cascade2_512” 8. Photometrics “CH350” 15. Indicate which port is this camera on (port 0 is closest one to the power entry module on the backplane of IC/MIC and it labeled as Camera 1, subsequently port1 is labeled as Camera 2. By default all single camera systems come with camera card installed in the port 0). 16. Type 1024 to confirm camera buffer size 17. Enter corresponding stage type (Option 5 for XYZ Stage, Stage4 (IX71 R&D should never be used). XYZ Stage, Tilt, Ext. Travel (X & Y nanomovers are different) XYZ Stage, Tilt (X & Y nanomovers are identical) XYZ Stage, Stage3 18. Type Z gain (should be located on the label attached to the stage, "If the label indicates a Z gain value less than 1, e.g. 0.314, multiply this number by 500 before entering into DVConfig -- 0.314 x 500 = 157.") 19. Type Z Offset (should be located on the label attached to the stage) 20. Select -500 for Y Gain in case no value is provided on the stage sticker. Note this value should always be negative. 21. Type 2 to select MIC option for Shutter Driver 22. Select Fast Shutter 23. Type 1 to select Trans LED illumination 24. Choose 0 to indicate no EM shutter installed 25. Indicate number of Lamps installed (standard system comes with one, two installed on systems with multiplex option) 26. Type 4 to select Series 5 EM filter wheel 27. Indicate number of extra EM filter wheels (standard system comes with no extra) 28. Indicate corresponding EX filter wheel type 29. Select number of extra EX filter wheels (standard system comes with no extra) 30. Indicate corresponding ND filter wheel 31. Type 0 to indicate no comm. port is used (communication is done via Ethernet) 32. Select 4 for API MIC Photosensor 33. Type 4 to select API USB Joystick Splat 34. If laser is installed on the system select 2, otherwise option 0 should be chosen 35. Type 4 for API USB keypad splat 36. Hit Enter to finish configuration and restart IC/MIC
