Complete “Child Over 2 and Health Information” exercise

Complete “Assign Risk Factors in Nutrition Assessment” exercise
Complete “Delete Nutrition Assessment contact” exercise
Complete “Add Referral” exercise
Complete “Edit Referral Contact” exercise

Change mom’s default food package to include 1 lb. of tofu.
Change child’s default food package to canned beans instead of peanut butter.
Add formula to the infant’s food package – pow der Similac Adv ance.
Do not complete the rest of the CGS.
Go to: “End Certification” exercise.
How to modify food prescriptions in the CGS (mom):
o In mom’s CGS, click on Food Prescription link

The system creates a default food package once Amount of Breastfeeding and risk
factors are determined during the CGS
o Click Effective Date of default food package to highlight

Enables the Edit… button
o Click Edit… button
o Click on Milk food item in grid to highlight
o Click Edit Food Item… button
o Type 17 into the Quantity of Item field
o Click OK button
o Notice Milk Products [quarts] calculator; Maximum = 22, Allocated = 20 and Remaining = 2
Click Add Food Item… button
o Select MILK from the Food Category drop-down
o Click on (12 to 16 oz.) pkg WIC-allowed Tofu in grid to highlight
o Click OK button

Notice Milk Products [quarts] calculator; Maximum = 22, Allocated = 22 and Remaining
=0
o Click OK button
o Click Close button
How to modify food prescriptions in the CGS (child):
o Click child’s participant folder/CGS button on taskbar
o In child’s CGS, click on Food Prescription link

The system creates a default food package once Amount of Breastfeeding and risk
factors are determined during the CGS
o Click Effective Date of default food package to highlight

Enables the Edit… button
o Click Edit… button
o Click on Peanut Butter food item in grid to highlight
o Click Delete Food Item… button
o Click Add Food Item… button
o Select LEGUMES (BEANS/PEANUT BUTTER) from the Food Category drop-down
o Click on Canned Beans in grid to highlight
o Click OK button
o Click OK button
o Click Close button
How to add formula to infant food prescription in the CGS:
o Click infant’s participant folder/CGS button on taskbar
o In infant’s CGS, click on Food Prescription link

The Select Formula window opens immediately since baby is mostly breastfeeding
o Click 12.4 oz powder Similac Advance in grid to highlight
o Click OK button

The system will create the default food packages for each infant age category and
default the correct amount of formula for each age category based on breastfeeding
amount
o Click Close button
