Benefit Cashed
CRITERIA:
I nfant receiv ing a contract formula, less than 9 months old
Certification Due Date > End of the month
LDTU of last set of benefits < current date
Issue benefits – I ssue a full package of pow der Similac Adv ance for the infant’s age for three
months
Oops! Parent returns later in the day and reports the doctor changed the infant’s formula to
pow der Gerber Good Start Soy. Parent cashed current formula benefit and is returning all
the cans unopened.
Void Benefits
Replace Benefits – Change food package. Replace Similac Adv ance w ith Gerber Good
Start Soy
How to replace benefits after a benefit has been cashed:
o Open Participant Folder
o I ssue benefits for three months
o Void Benefits for future months (current month benefit for formula has been
cashed so cannot be v oided)







From Menu, click Benefit Management
Select Void Benefits.
I dentify Benefits to Void w indow opens – v oid only the benefits that w ere
not cashed.
From Select Benefits to Void, select benefits by check number.
Confirm Benefits to Void w indow opens, reason for v oiding – Select Food
Prescription Change.
Do not check Reprint Benefits box!
Click OK.
o Food Prescription





Click the Add button.
Click Use Default button.
Select Gerber Good Start Soy
I f parent cashed F&V benefits, delete those items from current food
package (if deleted, need to make a second food package w ith the
new formula for months 2 and 3 you are replacing).
Click OK.
o Replace Benefits





From menu, click Benefit Management
Select Add/Replace Set of Benefits.
Add/Replace Set of Benefits w indow opens.
Select the months of benefits you w ould like to replace from the Currently
Outstanding Set of Benefits.
I ndicate reason for replacement in Note field.
