Out-of-State Transfer for
Pregnant Woman on MN WIC
CRITERIA:
Find breastfeeding or non-breastfeeding w oman from another agency
NOT in current cert (Cert End Date < current date)
Pregnant woman has VOC document/I D folder from another state
Expected Deliv ery Date (EDC) = current date plus 4 months (example: today = 8/15/2012 
EDC = 12/15/2012)
Perform out-of-state transfer for pregnant w oman (prev iously on MN WI C as postpartum
w oman in another agency)
Complete Health I nformation.
Create Default Food Package – no changes.
How to perform out-of-state transfer for pregnant participant in statewide database and not in a
current cert:
o Search Statewide database for participant matching criteria
o Open Participant Folder to initiate in-state transfer
o Click Yes on “Do you want to transfer…?” prompt
o Click on Participant Activities on menu bar
o Select VOC Certification
o Select Pregnant from W IC Status drop-down
o Enter Certification End Date (may be easier to enter EDC, then figure out the Cert End
Date)

For pregnant women, use gestation wheel

Set wheel to EDC + six weeks, last day of the month
o Enter Expected Delivery date (current date + 4 months)
o Enter 1 for Priority
o Click OK button
o Click Health Information tab
o Enter a Pre-Pregnancy Weight
o Click Food Prescription tab
o Click Yes on “Do you want to save?” prompt
o Click Add… button
o Click Use Default button
o Click OK button
