Creating a Shelfari Account
Shelfari is the premier social network for people who love books. Create a virtual shelf
to show off your books, see what your friends are reading and discover new books.

Before you start using Shelfari, you will need to joint and create an
account. Follow the directions below to create your account. You will
need an email address.
1. Click on Join Now
Now you will enter your personal information and choose a password. Be
sure to write down your password information so that you will not forget.
Once you register, you will receive a welcome email in your email inbox.
For your name, you can just type your first name and last initial.
2. Fill in your personal
information.

3. Click Create Account
You will now be directed to your personal homepage. Before you start
using Shelfari, it is important to adjust your account settings for privacy.
4. On the right hand
side of your screen
select “Your Account
Settings”.
5. You will now edit
your personal settings.
Make sure
this does
not include
your last
name!
No One should
be able to see
your real
name.
Do NOT
use a real
photo of
yourself!
Now it’s time to go to the TPMS Media Center page, and join a discussion
group. Once you have been accepted to a group, you may start new
discussions about a book, or add to discussions. Remember, don’t give the
ending away!

choose a group to join.
