Show ratio relationships using multiple representations like part-to-part

o “8 chairs to 3 stools” could also be represented as 3 stools to 8
chairs, 3 stools to 11 seats or 8 chairs to 11 seats

Calculate the unit rate of items purchased from the grocery store. A unit
rate is a type of ratio comparing two quantities in which one of the
quantities has a value of 1.
o If a pack of six pudding cups cost $3.49, how much does each
pudding cup cost?

Determine the amount of ingredients needed when modifying recipes
o If our recipe makes 24 cookies and calls for 2 cups of flour, how

many cookies could we make if we only had 12 cups of flour?
Translate ratios into words, and words into ratios

The ratio of wings to beaks in the bird house at the
zoo was 2:1, for every 2 wings there was 1 beak.
