We cordially invite you to the thirty-seventh Annual Conference of the
New York State Association for Bilingual Education:
“EDUCATING OUR NEXT GENERATION OF BILITERATE CITIZENS”
March 6th – 8th, 2014
NEW YORK LAGUARDIA AIRPORT MARRIOTT HOTEL
EAST ELMHURST, NEW YORK
The conference will focus on providing teachers, parents, and educational leaders
strategies and tools necessary to educate a new generation of biliterate citizens. It
will offer presentations, roundtable discussions, and special sessions on current
topics such as the Common Core State Standards, the NYS Seal of Biliteracy,
Bilingual Education in Early Childhood/Preschool programs, driven instruction,
and the role of instructional leadership in ensuring quality Bilingual Education
programs. We look forward to having teachers, teacher educators, administrators,
paraprofessionals, parents, graduate students and publishers share their
knowledge, experience, and expertise with others in the field of bilingual
education. We need your participation to make this the most exciting, interesting,
challenging and professionally rewarding conference. Presentations in English or
in languages other than English are welcome.
On behalf of the NYSABE’s Executive Board and the Delegate Assembly
members, I would like to thank you for your support and commitment to
bilingual education. I hope that you will take this opportunity to mark your
calendar, submit a proposal to present, and register for this wonderful event at
