Please note: Non-Steinhardt students must apply to our program through the NYU Office of Undergraduate
Admissions. All students must complete one full year in the program to which they were originally admitted before
they are eligible to transfer. We only accept internal transfer students for the fall semester, and require a GPA
of 3.0 or above for admission to our program.

2. Statement of Purpose
Please attach a one page, single-spaced statement of purpose which explains why you wish to transfer to
the undergraduate program in Media, Culture, and Communication and describes your academic and
career goals as related to this major.
3. Recommendation
Please include a letter of recommendation from a professor or your current advisor. This should be
written on letterhead and submitted in a sealed envelope.
