I am interested in volunteering for the following committees (please check):
Activities throughout the year:
o 6th, 7th & 8th GRADE BINDER HELP: help students organize binders on Friday mornings from: 8:49-9:06.
o HOMEWORK CLUB: help a SGMS teacher assist students with homework from 3-4 on T,W,Th .
o SCHOOL STORE: Volunteer to work in the store during lunches (1x per week, 2x a month).
o IMC: Work in the library shelving & repairing books, and performing other clerical tasks
o FUNDRAISING: Assist in raising funds to be used for students, staff and PTA events: Fall fundraiser, spirit
nights, cheese cake sale, book fair
o BAKERS LIST: volunteer to bake or purchase food items for staff appreciation & school events
o STAFF APPRECIATION: assist in staff wide celebrations
o COOKIE BAKING: Bake cookies at School one day a week (1-1 1/2hrs in the morning) for drama club
o SPIRIT WEAR: assist in the sale & distribution of Spirit wear clothing
o LISTSERVE/COMMUNICATION: moderate the PTA list serve and encourage parents to sign up
o PTA MEMBERSHIP: Help promote PTA membership
o SPECIAL EVENTS: plan & coordinate movie & game nights
o P.E. ASSISTANCE: Field Day, Turkey Trot, dance class
o PARENT RECEPTIONS: before choral & instrumental music performances
o CULTURAL ARTS
o VISITOR MONITORING SYSTEM
Activities one or two times a year:
o OUTDOOR EDUCATION, Sixth Grade
o BOOK FAIR: assist in helping to set-up and run the book fair, fall & spring
o INTERNATIONAL NIGHT: help organizing evening’s activities
o SCIENCE FAIR: help with food & prizes for fair
o WINTER CARNIVAL: assist in planning and running the winter carnival
o 8th GRADE BREAKFAST: organizing breakfast before 8th grade trip
o BACK TO SCHOOL CARNIVAL: assist in planning and running the carnival
(over)
o ART EXPO: assist in the set-up and break down of the Expo
o ATTEND SIP(School Improvement Plan) Meetings-two times a year
