Shady Grove Middle School PTA
Joining the SGMS Timberwolf Pack as a supporter of the PTA will help provide important
enhancements to your child’s education. The PTA’s programs are not funded by the MCPS
budget and will disappear without your support. There are two ways you can help: support
the PTA by becoming a member and/or give a tax-deductable contribution directly to the
association.
Direct Appeal Donations
For just a $25 donation per child, the PTA can continue providing:
• Free academic planners to every student
(agenda books)
• PTA student directories
• Academic grants (mummifying apples, terra cotta
pot project, Geography Bee, STEM research projects)
• Straight A’s/Honor Roll recognition awards
• Cultural Arts Programs (Improv Group)
• Leadership training for staff members
• Staff appreciation events
• Community events
• Supporting after school programs and clubs
(Sports, Drama Club, Math Team, etc.)
While $25 per student is the requested donation, it is only a suggestion. If you can afford to give more, please do so.
If $25 is not comfortable for your family budget, please feel confident that any donation you can make will be appreciated and used to better SGMS and your child’s educational experience.
Your donations make a difference. They are an investment in your children and will pay dividends for the rest
of your life.
