They must also complete the ToK course, EE and CAS requirements. Mathematics courses should follow student’s natural progression. All IB math courses at SVHS are offered as SL courses only – there are no HL math options at SVHS. – see Math RT for ? World Languages (French and Spanish) courses should follow the student’s natural progression. Students should plan a test option (HL, SL or ab initio) with teacher recommendation. Capstone projects and presentations are required in French or Spanish at culmination of senior year on topic of student’s choosing. – see World Languages RT for more information. MCPS offers (for a fee that families would be responsible for) the Health class and the Foundations of Technology class on-line. These courses fulfill the state requirement. Please see the MCPS Website for more information. This would potentially free up space in the regular daily schedule for other required courses and offer flexibility to the student. SVHS course offerings depend on a minimum enrollment in each course being met. Updated 10/23/2013
