Teen Ambassador Program

Teen Ambassador Program Overview:
The Teen Ambassador Program unites passionate middle and high school students, ages 12 to
19, to support The Children’s Inn’s mission and engage in philanthropic efforts through
volunteering, fundraising, and special activities.
Time Commitment:
· One year of service required (August to August).
· Ambassadors must attend a mandatory orientation meeting in August and at least 4 out
of 5 scheduled meetings throughout the year. Meeting dates will be decided on
throughout the year and will take place on weeknights at The Inn.
Each Ambassador will…
· Make an annual donation of $25.00
· Represent The Inn as an “Official Ambassador”
· Organize an individual fundraiser or collection drive for The Inn’s most needed items
· Complete at least one off-site service project
· Plan and attend a service project for the Montgomery County Volunteer Center’s Martin
Luther Kind Day of Service Event in October
· Raise visibility and awareness of The Inn at his/her school and within the community
*Service Hours can be earned for participation.
Application Process:
· Interested candidates must complete a Volunteer Service Application online and
indicate that they are interested in the Teen Ambassador Program.
· Upon completion of the application, please contact Meredith Daley, Community
Outreach & Volunteer Program Assistant at [email protected].
· Candidates will be interviewed in June and selections will be announced in July.
· All communications must come from the candidate directly.
Qualifications:
· Must be between the ages of 12 and 19 years old
· Willingness to make the necessary time commitment
· Desire to gain volunteer experience and skills
· Ability to work both individually and as a part of a group
· Experience with volunteering and community service is preferred
· Reliable transportation to and from meetings and events as needed
*Approximately 12 individuals will be selected for the program.
