Parent/Guardian Information Letter
Dear Senior Parents and Guardians,
Congratulations! You have reached the premier time for your prospective graduate. We are looking forward to
supporting both you and all of our seniors as we collectively bring their last year as a John F. Kennedy (JFK) High
School student to closure. Senior year is not only a time to bid farewell to fellow classmates, but also a time to
reflect and look at the next steps that need to be taken in order to be prepared for life after high school.
There are many activities and opportunities for you to consider as you commemorate your senior’s culminating
year. In order to keep costs associated with senior year to a minimum, we have worked hard to develop senior
class packages sensitive to the current economic climate. Students and parents will be able to select one of
four packages, pay a deposit, and make payments until the final balance is paid in full. The deadline to place an
order without penalty will be Friday, December 19, 2014. The deadline to pay the balance for your selected
package will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015. This option allows you and your student to make multiple
payments monthly or bi-weekly and still get the items you want at no extra cost. You will have the option to
pay by cash, check, money order, or credit card for your selected package either online or in person. Please
note, students will have to order directly from the school after Herff Jones stops taking orders.
Our partnership company, Herff Jones will be at the school to start collecting orders and payments during lunch
on Wednesday and Thursday October 23 & 24, 2014. Please note there will be a late fee assessed for orders
not paid in full by Friday, February 27, 2015. Also, there are no refunds or cancellations on personalized or
dated items after 24 hours of placing an order. We look forward to a great year for the class of 2015.
