Program Vision
Our PEAC Scholars Program is just one more indication of
Magruder’s commitment to providing the best educational
opportunities to all students. PEAC Scholars is an inter-disciplinary,
four-year college-preparatory cohort. Its focus is on independent
learning and the development of sophisticated written and oral
communication skills with an emphasis on critical thinking.
Designed for the highly able student, PEAC Scholars offers
accelerated courses that are only available to those accepted into
the program.

Student Responsibility:
The application will be available at www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/magruderhs/
 The application process opens October 12, 2015
 Student must complete and submit this online portion no later than October 30, 2015
 The portal will be closed after that date-no other forms of application will be accepted
Each student must identify the three teachers who have consented to write recommendations in the
online application
 Teachers named will be sent electronic recommendation forms
 These must be submitted online no later than December 4
Students who complete the online application will write “live”
essays at their home schools the week of November 16th.

Decisions will be sent out the week of February 1, 2016 to
students who completed the entire process
A parent and student information night will be held for all
those accepted into PEAC on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
