What we are learning this week …
Reading:
Math:
We are beginning a new
reading unit this week about
“Amping Up Our Reading
We are enjoying our
hands on geometry unit so
far! We will focus on sorting
shapes, 2-D and 3-D shape
attributes, shape terms
(vertices, edges, angles,
etc.), and explore rectangles
in-depth. We will continue to
revisit doubles, coins, making
ten, and computational strategies throughout the week as
we complete our math menus
during workshop. I am meeting individually with each
mathematician to review doubles, making 10, skip counting, and adding mixed coins.
