What we are learning this week …
Reading:
Math:
Readers will be
learning about expecting and brainstorming
keywords that will
come up in their NF
books before reading.
This will help us expect tricky content
vocabulary. We will
learn about several
word-solving strategies
as well as how to use
different text features (table of contents, captions, headings, bold words, glossaries, indexes, etc..)
Students will continue
to learn about and practice
collecting, interpreting, comparing, and representing data.
Math menus will review: time,
addition within 20, adding 9
to a number, and doubles
facts.
Writing:

Social Studies:
Students will continue
to be actively engaged in exploring economic concepts of
consumer/producer,
goods/services, opportunity
cost, scarcity, supply/demand, and production/distribution. We have
had a blast in “KidsTown” so
far. We will work a few more
days on producing products,
