Foundation Fellowships
The International Mathematical Union and the Einstein Foundation Berlin
offer fellowships to PhD students and researchers primarily from
developing countries. Selected fellows will be invited for a research visit
to the lively mathematical environment of the Berlin Mathematical School.
Applications are invited for research visits to Berlin lasting
from three to nine months. Each application must include:
• Curriculum vitae
• Certificate of last degree and transcripts
•Research statement
• Budget plan including financial needs
• List of publications (if applicable)
• One letter of recommendation (which for PhD student
should come from their advisor)
The research statement should explain the research
project you intend to pursue in Berlin and should list the
Berlin mathematicians with whom you would like to
collaborate. Prior contact is not necessary.
Applications must be received at least six months
before the desired starting date. The selection
committee will meet every three months to award
fellowships.
