What is the Student Government
Association?
The SGA is the voice of the Loiederman student
body to administration
Responsible for dances, community service
events, and generating change in the school
Excellent opportunity for learning leadership
and teamwork while working with Ms. Lindsey
Why is the SGA important to me?
The SGA helps to create an environment where you
WANT to be
When you have an idea on how to improve the school,
the SGA helps get that idea to the right people to help
make your idea come alive
The SGA organizes opportunities to have fun in and out
of school, get SSL hours with your friends, and to make
a difference in your school and community
How can I become involved?
Beginning in the next few weeks, you will hear more
information about how you can become a Homeroom
Representative, or the VOICE of your assigned
homeroom.
Each homeroom will elect two people to represent
them in SGA meetings after school and with
administration
These positions have the potential to become
President, Vice President, and Secretary of the SGA

High school choice!
Preparing for high school and beyond – 8th
GRADE

The DCC will hold evening Options Fair meetings in the fall. The
Options Fairs will focus on information about the high school Choice
process and the five DCC high schools and their Academy programs.
Parents and students will also have the opportunity to learn about
application programs available to all Grade 8 students. The
information presented each evening will be identical so pick one to
attend:

Monday, September 22, 7:00-9:00 pm at Northwood High School
(DCC special education presentation at 6:00 pm)

Monday, September 29, 7:00-9:00 pm James Hubert Blake HS
