Field Trip
This year, the 8th grade team will be offering a
choice field trip on Thursday, November 5t h. There
are a limited number of spots available for each trip.
Kennedy Cent er: Are you interested in the
performing arts and touring the Kennedy Center?
Then you should attend our trip to the Kennedy
Center to watch and interact with a play called
Darius & Twig.
Udvar-Hazy Cent er: Are you interested in space and
aviation? Then our trip to the Udvar-Hazy Center is
for you. This center is the companion facility to the
National Air and Space Museum in DC.
Josiah Henson House: Are you interested in slavery
or archaeology? Then you should go on our trip to
Josiah Henson Park which is the home of Reverend
Henson. Henson inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe's
Uncle Tom's Cabin.
American Fil m Inst it ut e: Are you interested in
movies and filming techniques? Then you should
sign up to see a movie at the legendary AFI Theater
in Silver Spring. After viewing the movie, we will
participate in a discussion with experts in
film-making.
