Requests for an Increase in Administrative Funds - Revised
The State WIC Program has received FFY 2016 grant budget information from USDA. We can
now accept and respond to select priority funding requests for the remainder the federal fiscal
year. Please keep in mind that requests over $5,000 must be sent to USDA for review and
approval. Any requests requiring USDA approval will require additional processing time.
The State Agency will consider requests based on:

Availability of WIC Funds
Required replacements
Purchases that resolve unmet standards identified during a Local Agency ME
Other priority requests that improve the quality of WIC services
If you are considering a funding request, please work with your Regional WIC Consultant and
complete the Request for Increase of Administrative Funds found on the WIC website. Be sure
to include the following with any requests:

Clear description of items for purchase;
Justification for purchase and explanation of how purchase will benefit WIC Program;
Indication whether purchase will benefit any program other than WIC, and if so, how
costs will be prorated and shared; and
Documentation of cost for purchase such as spec sheet, quote, bid, etc.
