ADVERTISE WITH THE SPARTANS
Every year we have various projects to help raise money to support both the Jr.
High and Varsity teams. These fundraisers are critical to running our program. The
budget the schools allocate for softball is not nearly enough to run a successful
program. We as a booster club have always made up the difference. Our main
fundraiser is selling advertising signs. These signs are hung on the outfield fence. This
has been one of the most successful fundraising activities year after year. Our outfield
advertisements are seen by teams all across the state for all of our Junior High and
Varsity teams’ games, and for the duration of our annual TV games.
Generally, the use of booster club funds goes towards paying entry fees for
tournaments, hotel accommodations and food for the coaches and team. We have to
pay Fultondale Park and Recreation for the use to the fields at Fultondale Elementary to
host our annual JH softball tournament. We pay for a production company and for
announcers to come out and film games for television. We pay for umpires, game balls
and equipment. In the past, the boosters have provided new helmets, an I-pad, and
provided travel, room and board to send coaches to clinics. More recently, we used
funds from the Booster Club to complete the renovations/additions on our facility.
