Minnesota WIC Rules – Request for Comments
Included in this Wednesday Update is a copy of a Request for Comments related to proposed
changes in the State Rules governing the retail food stores and pharmacies participating as
Vendors in the Minnesota WIC Program. This Request for Comments appeared in the May 2,
2016 edition of the Minnesota State Register.
This Request for Comments is the first step in updating our State WIC Rules to reflect the
changes that will be necessary to implement eWIC. We also anticipate that we will propose
amendments intended to make the program more efficient and to strengthen the rules to
improve compliance.
We will discuss the proposed amendments at future Vendor Advisory Group meetings, which
includes five local agency representatives. We will also be obtaining your input during the WIC
Regional Meetings later this month.
