The Hunger-Free Sherburne County Coalition is hosting a free lunch and learn about food
insecurity and hunger on May 25th 2016. The event is free and lunch will be provided. There
will be no CEUs for participating.
Food Insecurity and Hunger
When: Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Facilitated by Dr. Tracy Ore, Dept. of Sociology, St Cloud University
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Participate in the "Life Happens" exercise to better understand the realities people
face living on the edge of poverty;
• Gain a better understanding of food access issues;
• Learn what resources are available to people who are food insecure; and
• Learn of opportunities available for supporting local communities.
