Civil Rights Nondiscrimination Statements - Revised
The WIC Program English and Spanish Nondiscrimination Statements used on all WIC materials
and outreach sources used to inform the public about program services, have recently been
updated.
•
The statements have been added to the Minnesota Operations Manual MOM - Section
1.10 Civil Rights. (See today’s memo Changes to Minnesota Operations Manual.)
•
The full English and Spanish statements are also included in this Wednesday Update.
All documents, pamphlets, brochures, handouts, etc., should be updated as follows:
1. All new printing must use the 2015 Nondiscrimination Statement;
2. Documents, pamphlets, brochures, handouts, using the previous statement should be
updated when supplies are exhausted, or by September 30, 2016.
When practicable, use the full Nondiscrimination Statement on WIC materials. However, if
there is not sufficient room to use the full statement, the following shorter statement may be
used, in the same print size as the document’s information:
•
English: This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
•
Spanish: Esta institución es un proveedor que ofrece igualdad de oportunidades.
