The Holidays by Adam S.
What I like to do on
the holidays is relax
and hang out at my
Aunt’s house. I like
to open the Christmas
presents to see what I
got. We have awesome Christmas
meals such as turkey,
rice and chicken. The
reason I like to eat
them is because my
mom and dad are
such great cooks. I
help them out so they
won’t feel so busy.
My family comes
over and we all eat
together. After I eat I
play basketball
downstairs in the
basement by myself. I don’t usually
do stuff with my
cousins because
they are busy. I
relax by playing
basketball down in
the basement. I play
Hopefully it snows for
guitar and it is fun
the holidays!
because I get to play
for like close to 3
hours.
Gifts of the Year By Riker B
After much research and
commercial watching, I’ve
made a list of the most wanted gifts for a middle school
student this holiday season. One toy you could get is
a Naruto toy. There are all
sorts of Naruto toys like
gaara and kakashi sensei
action figures. People who
like playing Pokémon can
pick up Pokémon toys like
Pikachu, Squirtle and Charmander toys but my personal
favorites are Joelton and
Pikachu. I know everyone
wants an Xbox one and a ps4
as well, but those are very
pricey.

Best and Worst Gifts by Noah H.
On the holidays, both adults and
kids could have a wonderful
time getting their gifts on the
holidays, but sometimes they
could get some pretty bad gifts.
So I am making this article for
the best and worst gifts you and
your family and friends could
get for the holidays. For the best
gifts, it depends on what people
would want, like a kid who likes
games could want a certain game
or your mom would like something new like a hairdryer or
something sports related like a
sports hoodie. For the worst gifts,
it’s basically the stuff you didn’t
want on your Christmas list most of
the time like a new toothbrush
(even though you might not need
one) or a teddy bear (even though
you’re like 14 years old). So that’s
what I think are the worst gifts to
get on the holidays, but people who
beg can’t always choose. So in conclusion, my classmates and I agree
that these gifts are the best and
worst. There are obviously worst
gifts out there, but these are the best
and worst in my mind.
Holiday Celebrations by Brandi B.
There are many different holidays. There is Hanukah, Christmas, and Kwanza. Many students and teachers celebrate
these various holidays like Hanukah. There are 8 days and 8
nights for Hanukah. It is a Jewish holiday. Some students and
teachers might go to a Hanukah
party even though they are not
Jewish. Christmas is a Christian
holiday that only comes once a
year. Some people might go to a
Christmas party even if they
don’t celebrate Christmas. Some
people celebrate Kwanza which
is an African celebration that last
one week. There are many people that celebrate these holidays
and some people don’t celebrate
any of these holidays if they
don’t want too. There are many
Page 2
holiday movies as well. People
go to see these movies during
the holiday season. There are
even holiday TV specials.
Teachers also do special things
during the holiday season like
our teacher, Mr. Murray, who is
going to New Jersey this holiday
season. Our teacher, Mr. Tyler,
will go to see his grandparents
this holiday season. People all
over the country might go to
their family member’s house or
travel to faraway lands this holiday season. I hope you guys
have a fun time during your holiday season and a safe one too.
Happy Holidays and Happy New
Year!

My Holiday Break By Bryan G.
I am very excited for this Winterbreak. This holiday break I plan on
going sledding. My family is going
to come over and we are going to
play outside, open presents and eat.
I wrote a Christmas list for Santa ;Scooby doo meet the boo brothers. Alien Invaders movie, and
more Scooby doo stuff. Also Lilo
and Stitch Movie. After opening
presents we will relax and enjoy
Each others company and feel greatful
for Chrismast and our Winter Break.
Snowflakes by Matt D.
Snowflakes are the most unique
thing on earth. They start out as
water on the ground then evaporate into the sky then freeze into
little tiny pieces of ice called
snowflakes. You see snowflakes
in the winter time when hey fall
down from the sky and can stick
to the ground. Snowflakes are
not all the same because they are
each made different and beautiful.
Winter Break Plans by Matt L.
Many people do different thing during winter break, I decided to interview
5 people to see what they are going to
do over the winter break. These people
are Nate Y, Derek Arrnow, Sage Glass,
and Alessia Modjarrad, Kona Sinor.
Nate, Derek, Sage, and Kona’s family
members are coming over, they like
playing outside with their family members outside, and they like spending

time with their family members.
Alessia has no family members
coming over, she doesn’t play
outside with her family members,
and she does not like spending
time with her family members.
Sage, Nate Y, Derek, Kona, and
Alessia make cookies for Santa,
and open one present on Christmas Eve. Kona, Derek, Nate Y,
and Sage don’t check where Santa
is on their computer. Alessia does
check where Santa is on her computer like me.
