Bus Route Numbers
There are two numbers on every Montgomery County School Bus. One number is the bus route
and the other number is the fleet number.
Route numbers are posted in the windows:
Wayside route numbers all begin with 12.. , such as 1203, 1208, 1220, etc. We also assign each
bus route a color for easier identification for students.
The second number on the bus is the fleet number. If a particular bus is in repair, another bus
in the fleet will replace that bus on its bus route.
