November Kindergarten News Time is flying by in kindergarten. We have finished our first quarter and are looking forward to new and exciting things in quarter two. The kindergartners are doing a great job learning poetry. Most weeks we work on a poem together as a class. Later in the week we highlight sight words and illustrate our poem. When they read poetry, it improves fluency and confidence in their ability to read. Please remember that we go outside each day for recess unless it’s raining or very cold. As the weather gets cooler, have your student dress for the temperature. Please label everything. Curriculum 2.0 covers health education for kindergarten students. The children are learning why it is important to keep clean and the steps for proper hand washing. We look forward to seeing all of you over the next two weeks or so during parent/teacher conferences. You should have received confirmation of your time and date. Please arrive on time and understand that we will adhere to the schedule. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. - The Kindergarten Team What’s Going On In Class?
