These release notes are updated as needed. We recommend that you read the field notices for this version to see if your software or hardware platforms are affected. The 7.0.1 version is the first released version for TimeCardView 7.0. System Requirements Hardware and software requirements for TimeCardView are in the following sections: • Hardware Supported for TimeCardView 7.0.x, page 2 • Languages Supported for TimeCardView 7.0.x, page 3 • TimeCardView Factory-Set Limits, page 3 • Software Compatibility, page 4 • Determining the Software Version and License, page 4 Hardware Supported for TimeCardView 7.0.x TimeCardView 7.0.x is supported on the NME-CUE network module and the Cisco 1861 Integrated Services Router. Because TimeCardView is an add-on to Cisco Unity Express, for the supported platforms and the minimum Cisco IOS release required to support TimeCardView 7.0.x see the “Hardware Supported” section in the Release Notes for Cisco Unity Express 7.0. TimeCardView Factory-Set Limits Installation of Cisco Unity Express is a prerequisite to install and use TimeCardView, because TimeCardView is an add-on package to Cisco Unity Express. In other words, without Cisco Unity Express, you cannot have TimeCardView. • TimeCardView System Limits, page 3 TimeCardView System Limits This section describes the system limits for TimeCardView: • System Limits: TimeCardView Users and Cisco Unity Express Mailboxes, page 3 System Limits: TimeCardView Users and Cisco Unity Express Mailboxes The number of TimeCardView users cannot exceed the number of mailboxes in the system. Table 3 and Table 4 show how Cisco Unity Express mailboxes relate to TimeCardView users. Determining the Software Version and License To determine the software version of TimeCardView and the license being used, perform the following steps. Step 1 Open a Telnet session. Step 2 Telnet to the router by entering telnet ip-address. Step 3 Enter the username and password for the router. Step 4 Enter the following command to enter the Cisco Unity Express command environment: enable router password service-module service-engine slot/port session Step 5 Enter Cisco Unity Express EXEC mode by entering the following command: enable Step 6 Enter the following command to display the TimeCardView software version: show software versions Step 7 Enter the following command to display the TimeCardView software license: show software licenses Files Included in TimeCardView 7.0.x For the NME-CUE service module: • timecardview.nme.7.0.x.pkg — Main package for the TimeCardView application • timecardview.nme.7.0.x.prt1 — Package payload containing all data and executable files associated with the TimeCardView application For the Cisco 1861 Integrated Services Router: • timecardview.ise.7.0.x.pkg — Main package for the TimeCardView application Release Notes for TimeCardView 7.0.x 4 OL-17595-01 Caveats • timecardview.ise.7.0.x.prt1 — Package payload containing all data and executable files associated with the TimeCardView application For integration with QuickBooks: • CUCE-TCVQB-Connector-Installer-7.0.x.exe For the Cisco Unified Communications Express Historical Reporting Client: • CUCEHistoricalReportsInstall-7.0.x.exe Caveats Caveats describe unexpected behavior in TimeCardView software releases. Severity 1 caveats are the most serious caveats. Severity 2 caveats are less serious. Severity 3 caveats are moderate caveats, and only selected severity 3 caveats are included in the caveats document. After logging in to Bug Toolkit, select the option to search for bugs in other Cisco software and hardware products, and select TimeCardView. Release Notes for TimeCardView 7.0.x OL-17595-01 5 Caveats Open Caveats — TimeCardView Version 7.0.1 CSCsw70541 Problem Durations appear negative. Symptom On the IP phone, review hours shows negative durations. In the Historical Reporting Client (HRC), the report shows negative durations. In the GUI, the timesheet shows negative durations. The weekly work durations shown on the phone may diverge by a minute or more from the sum of the work durations shown in the GUI. Conditions When a supervisor overrides an employee's current state and, when entering the time to end this state, selects the first option on the IP phone screen. For example, if an employee started a shift on 12/18/2008 at 10:05 and forgot to change this state, the employee’s account will be locked when any of the limit times are exceeded. This will require the supervisor to override the current state by ending it with an appropriate date and time. If the supervisor selects 12/18/2008 at 10:05 (which is the first option on the IP Phone screen for the time to end the state), the result will be a negative duration in the timesheet. Workaround When overriding an employee’s status: 1. On the IP phone, the supervisor should not select the first option for the End Time. In the above example, the supervisor should not select "12/18/2008, 10:05" as the end time. 2. On the timesheet, the supervisor must use the TimeSheet Review/Approval page to change the negative duration. Release Notes for TimeCardView 7.0.x 6 OL-17595-01 Caveats Resolved Caveats — TimeCardView Version 7.0.2 CSCsx26599 Problem When a supervisor tries to overrride a locked employee after a purge, the screen displays a 500 error. Symptom The phone screen displays a null pointer exception:Exception in R( /timecardview + /attendanceview/datepicker.do + null))java.lang.NullPointerException CSCsw70541 Problem Durations appear negative. CSCsx17990 Problem The telephone user interface (TUI) plays out incorrect time for review hours. Conditions When using the TUI review hours menu, an employee’s accumulated hours are not correct. However, the IP phone interface and the GUI do display the hours correctly. CSCsx62737 Problem On the command line interface (CLI), the sync time shows incorrectly in the output for the show timecardview command. Conditions When a TimeCardView administrator uses the CLI to schedule a synchronization, the system displays the time of that sync incorrectly in the show timecardview output. However, if the administrator uses the graphical user interface (GUI) to schedule a sync, the time does display correctly in the output. Resolved Caveats —TimeCardView Version 7.0.3 CSCsy71804 Problem Payroll server synchronization time is shown incorrectly. The running configuration and the database show different times for payroll synchronization.
