The purpose of the SOAR Fall Festival is to motivate students to SOAR and
achieve academically through a celebration of the first marking period that
unifies our school community and contributes to a positive school climate.
Students:






Are eligible to participate by demonstrating our SOAR expectations.
May use iPods, Cell Phones and other electronic devices during the SOAR Fall Festival in
designated locations (art/science/technology hallway only)
Non-eligible students will be escorted to seminar classes in the 7th grade hall
Will be allowed on the 1st floor level or gym, not in the 7th or 8th grade hallways
Will be allowed to move from one area to another.
Will be dismissed directly from the SOAR Fall Festival to go home.
Staff members:


Will sign-up for a hall monitor or activity station during team meetings.
During the SOAR Fall Festival, staff members will be given a short break from their station.
Parents:



Will receive information about the SOAR Fall Festival through the PTSA and Connect-ED
Will be advised to not schedule pick-up of their students during the SOAR Fall Festival.
If a parent needs to pick up their child during the SOAR Fall Festival, the student will be paged.

Volleyball Aux Gym (approx. 50 students)
Media Center: Quieter Activities (approx. 50 students)
 Board Games, reading and monitored computer activities
Cafeteria: Rock band and chorus performances during regular lunches
6th grade hallway (approx. 375 students)
 Lab 224 and Lab 235: Monitored computer activities
 Rm 211, 212, 213, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 222: Movies/Board Games
Arts/Science/Technology hallway (approx. 300 students)
 Rm 232, 234 and in hallway: cellphone/tablet game time
