Students are given the tools they need to take control of
their financial futures —with a message of empowerment,
responsibility, and hope
Banking on Our Future (BOOF) elevates the dignity, hope,
and economic self-sufficiency of people in low-wealth
communities through financial literacy. This program has
reached over 699,000 students in more than 700 schools
and community-based organizations in the U.S. and South
Africa. Led by HOPE Corps volunteers, major banking
institution volunteers and Federal government agencies
who have undergone comprehensive training in financial
literacy and teaching techniques.
Students use reflection exercises to assess their knowledge
gained from their discussions on the various topics. This
will provide them with background knowledge towards our
economic unit in World Studies
 This
is a wonderful opportunity for our 7th
grade students, as we continue to do
whatever it takes to have them college
ready.
