Current state rates from the National Immunization Survey (NIS) and the Minnesota Immunization Information Connection
(MIIC). The NIS is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) survey and MIIC is an immunization information
system operated by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).

NIS Vaccine Coverage Definitions
• 1+ Tdap: 1 or more doses of tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap).
• 1+ MenACWY: 1 or more doses of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY) or meningococcal-unknown type
vaccine.
• 1+ HPV: 1 or more doses of the quadrivalent or bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine. HPV coverage estimates are
reported by gender.
• 2+ HPV: 2 or more doses of the quadrivalent or bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine. HPV coverage estimates are
reported by gender.
• 3+ HPV: 3 or more doses of the quadrivalent or bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine. HPV coverage estimates are
reported by gender.
