Monthly Newsletter
What’s happening in the
classrooms?
Theme:
We hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving
holiday and spent quality time with their loved
ones. Everyone is doing a great job with following
positional directions, rote counting and counting
with 1:1 correspondence . Their concepts about
print (i.e. identifying pictures and words on the
page). We are reviewing sorting by size, shape,
and color and identifying big/little and tall/short.
We are continuing to work on pre-writing skills
(i.e. letters, cross, and square). We are working
on waiting our turn to respond during small/large
group instruction. Please see the box below for
the home-school connection activities.

What can I do at home?
Recommend Books
Friendly Reminders:
Math– By building with blocks have your child build
towers by color and size. While your child is cleaning up
the toys have him/her to sort by category (color/size).

Dress your child accordingly to
the weather (winter coats,
hats, gloves). Please don’t
forget to label your child’s
belongings.
Reading– Continue to read a story to your child. Ask
your child to find words, letters, describe illustrations.
