What’s happening in the
classrooms?
Fall has arrived!!! The children have transitioned
well to their new school and classroom. The students are doing amazing things! They are sorting
colors, shapes, and size. They are identifying colors and shapes. They are identifying letters in
their names and peer names. We are now working
on counting to five, identifying size and length.
We are working on pre-writing skills (i.e. vertical
and horizontal lines), writing skills (letters E and
D), and phonemic awareness (letter sounds). We
are also working attending skills and social skills
(i.e. sharing toys & communicating turning taking).
We are promoting language by having the students make request and use manners (i.e. picture
symbols, verbal, sign language, and voice output
device. Please see the box below for the homeschool connection activities.
